Liana MacDonald (Ngāti Kuia, Rangitāne o Wairau, Ngāti Koata) is an indigenous sociologist at Victoria University of Wellington, a māmā and a Strathmore local. She’ll share findings from her PhD on the experiences of Māori secondary school English teachers and discuss what these reveal about institutional racism in our education system.
