Nurse Practitioner

Te Aro Health Centre Nurse Practitioner clinic is here every second Monday morning – 9am -12noon. This service is for Te Aro Health Centre enrolled patients and those who are not enrolled elsewhere.

A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an advanced nurse with extra training who can assess, diagnose, treat, and manage health conditions. NPs can prescribe medications, order tests, and provide both primary care and health education. In short, NPs offer many of the same services as doctors, focusing on patient care and prevention.
